Help with InstantNote, the dental notes app for Australian dentists.
Email hello@instantnote.co. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected and what happened, and which device you were using.
Please do not email patient names or clinical details. If we need to look at a particular note, we will ask for its date and time instead.
Sign in to the InstantNote app or at instantnote.co, pick today's patient from your appointment book, press record and treat as normal. Press stop, then check the note and approve it. An InstantNote account is required.
A note can only be as good as the recording, so keep the phone or microphone near the conversation, keep background noise down, and say tooth numbers and surfaces clearly. Details that were not said are left blank or flagged for you to confirm. You can edit any section before you approve it, and you can regenerate a note from the note page.
Approve the note, then press InstantSend (on the phone, Send to PMS). Dental4Web and Dental4Windows are supported today. For Dental4Web, the item codes, treatment plan and base charting are entered with the note. Connect your practice in Settings. Dental4Windows needs a small program installed at your practice, so email us and we will set it up with you. More detail is on the Dental4Web and Dental4Windows page.
Yes. Tell the patient, and anyone else in the room, before you record and get their agreement. Privacy and recording laws differ by state and territory, and you are responsible for following them in your practice. InstantNote includes an AI consent form your patient can sign on screen. If anyone objects, do not record.
In Settings on instantnote.co, choose Manage billing. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
In Settings, choose Export my data. Notes are deleted from InstantNote 30 days after they are written, so send approved notes to your practice software, which keeps the record.
In Settings, choose Delete account, in the app or on instantnote.co. This removes your account and your data. You can also email us.
